We loved the 1979 and 1978 books. Very interesting to see how life was when we were born. We will give them as presents this year to family members. Thank you once again.

I bought this for a present. My sisters 60th. I have bought them for others who have loved them so I am hoping she will too.
I purchased this for my dad, what I was planning to give him as part of his 80th Birthday present, I was over excited and gifted it to him immediately (only a couple of weeks early). Well, my dad loved it! He became quite emotional looking at the toys from the book, telling me stories of the exact toys he had as a boy, it really opened up a great dialogue between my dad and I, we spent hours talking about his childhood and his parents. Sadly my dad does have early stage dementia, but having this book bought him so much joy, his face lit up as he exclaimed "oh I remember those", definitely worth every cent (and then some)
My dad absolutely loved his 1946 book, (as did I!) beautifully presented and "bought back so many memories" according to my dad.

Highly recommend this book for a present. Well presented, full of great facts, colourful and well made.
Admittedly, this book was somewhat underwhelming. I was expecting a bit more information in the book, more facts and figures, more year-specific details about Australian and Global events, economy, weather phenomena etc. The information in the book is good, and presented nicely, but it was less than what I expected. I also noticed a couple of obvious spelling and grammatical errors which indicates the book wasn't thoroughly proofread.
I bought it for a Christmas present so I am hoping it will be liked. I bought my year quite some time ago and loved it. I also bought one for my nephew and he loved it. It is a great present.
